About Susie Hayden

Speech Therapist Bury St Edmunds

Susie is a state registered Speech and Language Therapist with over 24 years’ experience of working within the NHS. A dedicated and supportive therapist, Susie retains a passion for enhancing her knowledge and therapeutic techniques through ongoing training and professional collaboration.

Extensive experience at Addenbrooke’s, West Suffolk and Ipswich Hospitals locally, as well as other rehabilitation and community settings in the UK means that Susie is expertly placed to assist with many speech and language related disorders. Further afield, she spent three years in Tanzania as the sole speech therapist in an educative and clinical role at the country’s main government teaching hospital. In addition to clinical practice, Susie has delivered training and clinical supervision to students and qualified speech and language therapists over many years.

Susie is a respected expert in her field; she has published a textbook entitled “A Systems Approach to Aphasia Therapy” (Routledge 2021), presented at the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Conference, and for 10 years has run a successful (free) aphasia café in in her local area.
